Inbox & Photos Dashboard Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Inbox & Photos Dashboard (“the app”) provides a private workspace for monitoring connected email accounts and organizing Google Photos media that a user explicitly selects. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, where it is stored, and how users can remove it.

1. Information we access

Account information. When you create or sign in to an app account, we receive the account information needed to maintain your session, such as your email address and display name when provided.

Connected email accounts. If you connect Gmail or Microsoft Outlook, the app receives authorization from that provider so it can identify the connected mailbox and retrieve the mailbox information needed for the dashboard, including total and unread message counts. The app does not display or use message content for this dashboard feature.

Google Photos. When you connect Google Photos, the app uses Google’s authorization flow. You choose the photos or videos to share through the Google Photos Picker. The app receives the selected media information needed to display and organize those selections.

2. How we use information

  • To authenticate you and keep your workspace secure.
  • To show mailbox totals, unread counts, connected addresses, and sync information.
  • To display and organize Google Photos media that you explicitly select.
  • To maintain user-created organization such as People profiles and their selected reference images.
  • To provide account disconnect and data-removal controls.

3. Google user data

Google user data is used only for the features described above. Google authorization tokens used to access connected services are handled on the app server and are not displayed to other users. Selected Google Photos media is fetched from Google only when needed for the connected workspace.

The app does not sell Google user data. It does not use Google user data for advertising or for unrelated purposes.

4. Storage and retention

Connected-account records and authorization information needed to maintain integrations are stored in the app’s secured database. Selected Google Photos media references and People organization data are also maintained in the browser for the workspace. Temporary Google Photos media URLs are not intended to be permanent storage.

When you disconnect a Google Photos account, the app removes that connection from its database and removes the selected media for that account from the dashboard’s local workspace. Signing out of the app also clears locally stored dashboard photo and People data for that browser session.

When you remove a connected mailbox from the dashboard, its app account record is removed. Provider-side authorization is controlled by the provider and can be revoked through the provider’s account settings.

5. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information is shared with Google or Microsoft only as necessary to operate the connected integration you authorize, and with infrastructure providers that host the app and its database as necessary to provide the service.

6. Security

The app uses authenticated server requests, session controls, and server-side handling of provider authorization tokens. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong app password and keep your provider account secure.

7. Your choices

You can choose whether to connect an account, disconnect it, and remove selected workspace data using the controls provided by the app. You can also revoke the app’s authorization from the relevant Google or Microsoft account settings.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when those changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top will identify the current version.

9. Contact

For privacy questions or requests concerning Inbox & Photos Dashboard, please use the contact information associated with the Google Cloud project and app verification submission for this application.
